About us
Simply Sunshine Early Education provides high quality early childhood education and care for children and families of the Moranbah community. We cater for children aged from birth to five years, including a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program, to give our Kindergarten Children the best start to formal schooling.
Our passionate and qualified staff know that the best early learning happens in environments where children are safe and feel a sense of belonging. Our enthusiasm for nurturing and educating little minds underpins all that we do and we look forward to sharing this energy with you and your family.
Each day at Simply Sunshine we make sure there is time and space in our routines for children to relax and recharge.
As a not-for-profit centre, Simply Sunshine is run by an Executive Committee of parents in partnership with staff and other members. The committee is responsible for licensing requirements, decision making and working with centre management to ensure the best day-to-day operations and outcomes for our children.
We value community connections specific to our town, engaging with local services, groups, schools, and attending community events.
Meet our Leadership Team
Amanda Stephan – Director
I have been in Moranbah for 18 years and have raised my own family here. I have always enjoyed working within communities to foster the development of children. I have worked across, Montessori early learning services, Family day care, OSHC and here at Simply Sunshine.
During this time, I have been fortunate to have supported and inspired many families, children and educators. When my journey with Simply Sunshine began, I was an educator assisting and leading the rooms, now as the Director I am able to lead our whole team.
Most recently I have taken pride in the successful design of our own nature inspired playgrounds. I advocate the beauty of nature-based play in its many forms, and the way in which children learn to play – play to learn.
At Simply Sunshine, we are passionate about leading our team of caring, dedicated, professional educators to create a safe, welcoming environment that supports the learning, health and wellbeing of all children in attendance.
We love our regional community and our strength in local relationships and partnerships who assist us to work collaboratively to deliver the best educational opportunities for everyone.
